2024. Feature Documentary.

Amid infamously unprecedented times, three unconventional cowgirls reckon with their own vision of the American West. From deep in Queens, filmmaker Annie Bercy flees West to uncover the whitewashed history of Black Cowboys. In Miami, Latina designer Elle Barbeito confronts her own survival as she hunts the Everglades’ invasive Burmese Python. On the West Coast, rodeo queen Morgan Laughlin balances a campaign for Miss Rodeo America with her dreams to make a living in agriculture. Together, Annie, Elle, and Morgan reimagine the women we traditionally permit to be a cowgirl.
